The Shepherd's Rest is situated close to the Pennine Way and Calderdale Way long distance footpaths and Pennine Bridleway (Mary Towneley Loop) as well as an intricate local network of trails, bridleways and ancient causeways. Just cross the road, climb the stile and you're started!

Every year on the first Saturday in November we are host to over 200 fell runners for this prestigious event organised by Todmorden Harriers. The 6 mile course starts and finishes at the pub and climbs 1150ft via Stoodley Pike. Past winners include British and English Champions.
